Happy Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was good and fairly quite. Since I am a modern version of the walking plague, the 2 other families we were having dinner with opted to avoid us. Can't say that I blame them, I wouldn't want to expose myself to me. So we cooked a 26 pound turkey for the 6 of us and a friend of Will's from work who is family-less (he and his wife are finalizing the adoption of their son so she and their daughter are in Tennessee). The turkey came out perfect and the gravy sublime. I out did myself! And no burnt water :0)

Will's assessments for school are going really really well. Hopefully he will get everything complete so that he can start the Jan term. I have Freshman orientation on Thursday and am very very excited!

The kids got their Christmas present from Dad and Denise on Tuesday and since then we have not been able to keep the kangaroo's inside. They got a trampoline and they LOVE it! I will hopefully be ab;e to post some pictures tomorrow. We are avoiding the black Friday rush and just hitting to commissary and the post office so I can start mailing Christmas cards, tis the season!

Mono?

I have been nasty sick for a week now. Finally got into the doctor on Sunday and I have dual ear infections, one in my mouth, and freakin MONO! Seriously, this crap could only happen to me. So i am under quarantine from the kids so Kate and Laura will be getting more hours this week. Laura and Kate are Fletcher's aids and they are awesome! Laura is a college student and a semester away from graduation as an occupational therapy assistant. She is very mellow and works wonderful with our little man. She is great at engaging the other kidlets as well. Kate is 19 and has Aiden's energy. So she works very well with the crazy hours in our house.

So I get to wear a mask to Thanksgiving dinner and while I am cooking it. Anyone wanna kiss? LOL

Overachievers Anonymous

Yeah because everyone who knows us, knows that we don't do things the easy way around here. The road less traveled and all that. I take my assessment test tomorrow to see where on the "how many brain cells have you fried since high school" scale. Writing, reading, and math. Starting to get that "what the hell was I thinking" feeling in my chest. Wish me luck, say a prayer, something so that I don't end up in middle school algebra with my 12 whipping the pants off me.

Will has decided to go higher with his education as well. He only has so much time before his GI benefits run out so he will be starting school again in January as well. Toss in the rest of our lives and you have the makings of "Is it happy hour yet?"

We have 2 aids to help with Fletcher and Aiden is content to nip at our heels with puzzles and play dough while we fill out the endless amounts of paperwork.

Why do I hear the theme to Jaws..........

SLOW DOWN

OK seriously, I need to pause the kids life for a few and hit play on mine again :0) And that is sort of what I am doing. Starting in January, I will be a college student. I know that it is alot to handle with the way our lives are but at the same time, if I don't have or do something for me I am going to start to get angry and bitter instead of rolling with the punches and doing what has to be done. So I am hitting play on my life again and the kids will keep right on with there high power social active lives! Here are some new pictures and hopefully later tonight I can give you a sample schedule!
